Civil Procurement Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Procurement Engineer specialized in civil engineering to oversee procurement activities within EPC and construction projects. The primary focus will be acquiring materials and services efficiently while maintaining adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire procurement lifecycle for civil engineering materials and services.
• Draft Requests for Quotations (RFQs), analyze both technical and commercial proposals, and select the most suitable vendors.
• Liaise with engineering and on-site teams to identify material needs and scheduling requirements.
• Align procurement activities closely with the progress schedules of projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop detailed techno-commercial comparison reports for bid analysis.
• Conduct negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs.
• Issue and administer Purchase Orders and Work Orders, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Track vendor performance, addressing and resolving any arising issues promptly.
• Guarantee that procured materials meet technical specifications and internal standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive procurement documentation and records.
• Coordinate seamlessly with bookkeeping and accounts teams to facilitate invoice processing and timely vendor payments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.

Skills

• Expertise in Procurement and Vendor Management.
• Proficient in techno-commercial evaluation methodologies.
• Strong negotiation abilities focused on cost efficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of civil materials and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting techniques.
