Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead supervision and inspection activities for significant Roads and Infrastructure projects, including bridges and underpasses, based in Dubai. This role ensures construction work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and scheduled timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities for bridges and underpasses, guaranteeing conformity to design and safety requirements.
• Evaluate and authorize contractors' shop drawings, materials, and proposed construction approaches.
• Perform frequent site inspections to track progress and uphold quality standards.
• Prepare and assess technical documentation such as daily logs, inspection reports, and meeting records.
• Collaborate with contractors, surveyors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and maintain timelines.
• Supervise inspection teams and guide contractor operations oversight.
• Review and interpret as-built drawings in coordination with inspection and surveying teams.
• Monitor contractor schedules for adherence and recommend corrective actions if deviations occur.
• Work alongside senior engineers to devise innovative solutions addressing complex engineering problems.
• Ensure all work meets local building codes, regulatory requirements, and Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) standards.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 7 years’ proven experience supervising construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses.
• Prior work experience in Dubai with strong knowledge of regional construction practices and regulations.
• Expertise in techniques and best practices for bridge and underpass construction.
• Strong project management capabilities, able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software tools.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving aptitude.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within diverse teams.
• Familiarity with RTA standards and approval processes is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Dubai and UAE building codes and regulations.
• Proven ability to innovate and implement creative engineering solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with effective task prioritization.

Additional Information
