Role overview

The hiring company is a fast-scaling Australian SaaS business building AI-enabled workforce management technology. It is at a major growth stage and is looking for a product-focused Chief Technology Officer and site leader to guide the next phase of Product and Engineering.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who wants meaningful impact, an established platform, international customers, and the chance to influence how technology is developed and delivered. Adelaide is the preferred base, though exceptional candidates from interstate may be considered with a fly-in/fly-out arrangement.

What you will do

• Set the overall product and technology direction so it supports the company’s long-term goals.
• Lead Product, Engineering, Data, and broader technology teams through change and growth.
• Shape a high-performing organisation that is built around AI-native product and engineering practices.
• Lift delivery capability, engineering efficiency, and overall team performance.
• Advance product innovation while balancing customer value, commercial outcomes, and technical priorities.
• Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategy, growth, and organisational structure.
• Build a culture focused on ownership, experimentation, continuous improvement, and strong customer focus.

What the role calls for

The business is seeking someone who has led Product and Technology in a SaaS or broader technology company that has scaled successfully. The right person will have a track record of steering teams and organisations through growth, transformation, and change.

You should bring executive-level leadership across both Product and Engineering, along with a strong commercial mindset that balances user outcomes and business results. A clear interest in AI and an understanding of how emerging technologies are reshaping software businesses is important. The role also requires confidence working with Boards and senior executives, as well as the ability to make difficult calls, challenge existing approaches, and lead effectively in uncertainty.

Location and working arrangement

Adelaide is preferred because most of the Product and Engineering team is based there. The company is also open to strong candidates located elsewhere in Australia if they can spend 2–3 days per week in Adelaide. A flexible fly-in/fly-out setup may be available for the right person.
