Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced executive to lead the operational and administrative functions of a large, multifaceted organization. This role entails providing strategic leadership across various departments while collaborating closely with an elected governing body and senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations spanning administrative and programmatic areas to ensure organizational goals and quality service delivery.
- Develop and execute strategic plans by converting broad objectives into actionable performance metrics and clear workflows.
- Direct budgeting processes, financial management, including fund accounting and grant compliance, to ensure effective use of resources.
- Foster productive partnerships with boards, councils, advisory groups, and external stakeholders through executive updates and decision support.
- Lead policy formulation, regulatory compliance, and risk management to uphold operational standards.
- Mentor and develop senior leadership and teams to enhance succession planning and organizational capabilities.
- Monitor operational indicators using data analysis to drive improvement and risk mitigation.
- Steer change management initiatives aligned with business evolution while preserving departmental stability.
- Engage community, government, and partners to strengthen mission alignment and sustain long-term organizational viability.
Qualifications and Experience
- More than 10 years of senior leadership experience managing complex operations in public sector, tribal, non-profit, or similarly regulated settings.
- Proven expertise in strategic leadership and administration across multiple organizational units.
- Strong competency in financial planning, budgeting, grants oversight, and compliance management.
- Experience working effectively with governance bodies like boards and councils in a visible leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of risk management, policy compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Track record of leading talent development, workforce planning, and organizational transformation at executive levels.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills suitable for executive and stakeholder audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced qualifications in public administration, business, finance, or related fields preferred.
