Goddard Riverside Community Center (GRCC) is a prominent community-based organization located in Manhattan, managing an annual budget of around $90 million. It is recognized as one of New York City’s foremost providers of human services, operating over 30 programs across 26 locations in Manhattan and Queens. These programs primarily focus on supporting children, youth, families, homeless individuals, and elderly populations.

Position Overview

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will be a pivotal member of the senior leadership, working alongside the COO and President to shape and drive the organization's personnel strategies. This role is responsible for implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable laws, while fostering a dynamic and supportive workplace culture focused on inclusivity, high performance, and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and management of an 8-member HR team spanning Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and Employee Relations.
• Overseeing HR functions for a diverse workforce exceeding 850 employees distributed across multiple New York City locations.
• Driving recruitment, retention, and talent development initiatives to build and sustain a high-quality workforce.
• Supporting organizational growth through effective human resource strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Promoting a people-first culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, enjoyment, and inclusiveness.
• Hands-on collaboration and participation in HR operations as a team-oriented leader.

Work Schedule

The role operates on a standard schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $175,000 to $200,000, determined based on experience in similar roles and additional preferred qualifications.
