Job description
Job Summary
The role involves ensuring strict adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain operational excellence. Key responsibilities include product sampling from process equipment, continuous monitoring of process trends and alarms through DCS Delta V and PLC HMI control systems, and contributing to investigations by providing impact assessments and corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Apply operational knowledge in compliance with SOPs ensuring accurate performance of tasks.
- Collect samples from process equipment following prescribed procedures.
- Monitor controls and respond promptly to alarms on DCS Delta V and PLC HMI systems.
- Support investigations by assessing impacts and recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain complete and precise records adhering to GMP requirements.
- Conduct routine equipment cleaning manually, via CIP and COP methods as directed.
- Keep the plant tidy and audit-ready by performing regular housekeeping and reporting issues promptly.
- Manage chemical waste collection, segregation, and disposal per SOP guidelines.
- Ensure workplace safety compliance aligned with regulatory and environmental, health and safety (EHS) policies.
- Understand process safety, cleaning changeover protocols, and unit operations within API manufacturing.
- Communicate effectively within the team regarding process status and handovers, escalating issues to supervisors.
- Assist with execution of commissioning and validation protocols as necessary.
- Complete all training schedules, including on-the-job training (OJT), job safety analysis (JSA), instructor-led training (ILT), and procedure familiarization.
- Maintain process operations to schedule and inform supervisors promptly of any expected delays.
- Uphold robust data integrity standards throughout the production process.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
- Help enhance the visibility and reputation of Antaes services to clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
- Minimum of one year experience in a chemical or GMP manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in working with DeltaV Distributed Control System and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Willingness and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, covering days and nights.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities alongside effective interpersonal and communication skills.
