Cashier

About the Role

Zahr Freighters is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cashier to become part of their finance team based in Dubai. The position involves precise handling of monetary transactions, maintaining cash logs, and offering excellent client service, contributing to the smooth management of the company's daily financial activities. The candidate will be expected to uphold accuracy, clarity, and efficiency in all payment processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handle payments including cash, credit/debit cards, checks, and electronic methods with accuracy.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations to clients and customers.
• Maintain and reconcile daily cash balances at the conclusion of every shift.
• Manage petty cash transactions while ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
• Prepare and submit daily cash reports to the finance department.
• Record all financial transactions correctly in the accounting system or ERP platform.
• Address customer queries related to billing, payments, and receipts professionally.
• Protect confidentiality of all financial documents and company sensitive data.
• Support the accounting department with financial paperwork and administrative help when needed.
• Follow company financial policies and adhere to internal control protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in roles such as Cashier, Billing Executive, or financial operations.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and cash management procedures.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting or billing software.
• Good numerical aptitude with sharp attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
• Trustworthy, dependable, and precise in handling financial transactions.
