Role overview

AESTEC Services is hiring qualified carpenters for ongoing work in the Gladstone area of Queensland. This is a full-time, onsite role offering stable local employment, substantial weekly hours, and the chance to contribute to major industrial projects.

The position is available through two workstreams: BSL, where you are attached to a single site with ongoing project activity, and the QAL Flex Team, where you support different local project sites as needed. In both cases, the role is designed for long-term local work, with the benefit of returning home each night.

Work patterns

The role is based in Gladstone / Benaraby, Queensland, Australia and involves 48 hours per week plus overtime. The opportunity is intended for candidates looking for consistent local hours and long-term engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry tasks on construction or industrial sites as part of ongoing project work.
• Work on formwork, concrete-related activities, and general carpentry duties.
• Interpret plans and carry out tasks according to the defined scope of work.
• Maintain a strong focus on safe work methods and the quality of finished work.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute reliably to site operations.

Skills and experience

• Trade-qualified carpenter with experience on construction or industrial sites.
• Practical knowledge of formwork and concreting.
• Ability to understand drawings, plans, and scope documents.
• Commitment to workplace safety and high standards of workmanship.
• Construction White Card.
• Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a team.
