Role Overview
Larkhill Hall is seeking an experienced Caretaker skilled in maintenance, building repairs, DIY tasks, cleaning, and housekeeping. Candidates should have technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems and ideally possess basic IT capabilities. Compassion and consideration when interacting with residents and colleagues are essential traits for this role.
Key duties include ensuring residents reside in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections, conducting audits, and keeping meticulous records. Tasks might involve replacing plumbing fixtures, installing extractor fans, repairing wooden window frames, or applying wallpaper in communal areas, always executed with kindness.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
All staff share responsibility for safeguarding; thus, the ability to identify signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and understand proper reporting protocols is crucial. Caretakers will undergo role-appropriate safeguarding training and related educational programs to maintain awareness and responsiveness.
