Job Overview
This position calls for an experienced Calypso Developer well-versed in the banking domain with a focus on settlements and the Calypso platform. Candidates should bring 10 to 15 years of overall experience, featuring deep expertise in Calypso version 16 or above along with Core Java development.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
- Hands-on development using Core Java JDK 1.8 or later for at least four years.
- Extensive work with Calypso version 16 or newer, including integration with Calypso APIs.
- Customization of Calypso involving workflows, BO Messages, BO Transfers, scheduled tasks, reports, and engine configurations.
- Understanding financial instruments, particularly equities and foreign exchange markets.
- Strong knowledge of trading lifecycle including trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting procedures.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SQL queries on databases such as Oracle and Sybase.
- Familiarity with Unix shell commands and basic system operations.
- Experience with version control tools like SVN and Git.
Soft Skills and Additional Requirements
- Strong analytical mindset combined with problem-solving capabilities and eagerness to learn new concepts.
- Excellent communication abilities and aptitude for working collaboratively with operations teams.
