Job description
Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a qualified Business Development Officer based in Lagos, Nigeria. This full-time mid-level role requires a degree in Finance, Management, Administration, or a related field. The selected individual will focus on managing and expanding the company’s deposit portfolios while driving client satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a diversified portfolio combining High Net Worth Individual (HNI) and retail deposits in line with the company’s concentration and diversification guidelines.
- Identify and convert prospective clients into business partnerships successfully.
- Oversee client investment portfolios and relationships to maintain high satisfaction and retention rates.
- Prepare weekly detailed call memos and progress reports covering all clients, prospective clients, and related activities.
- Execute approved marketing strategies to meet the company’s deposit portfolio targets.
- Participate actively in industry events, conferences, and networking functions to attract new clients and enhance brand presence.
- Keep abreast of trends in financial markets and interest rates to offer informed advice.
- Provide insightful guidance to both clients and company management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in a comparable finance sector role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management, Administration, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing fund mobilization goals.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to perform effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- A motivated, self-driven, and outcome-focused attitude.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly net salary range of NGN 400,000 to 500,000, negotiable for exceptional candidates.
- Additional benefits include quarterly performance awards, retention schemes, health maintenance organization (HMO) coverage, and pension plans.
