Bookkeeper

About the Role

MM Nova Tech Ltd is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting functions for several companies simultaneously. The successful candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, financial reconciliations, and advanced Excel, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive books of accounts across multiple companies.
• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries promptly.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes efficiently.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, vendors, customers, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
• Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
• Liaise with Chartered Accountants and auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
• Keep detailed financial records and organize supporting documentation.
• Generate MIS reports and financial schedules using advanced Excel functions.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting data across all entity accounts.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 to 7 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com or equivalent).
• In-depth understanding of bookkeeping standards and reconciliation processes.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel features such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, IF statements, data analysis, and MIS reporting.
• Experience with popular accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally Prime, Xero, or similar.
• Prior experience managing accounting records for multiple domestic and international companies is highly valued.
• Excellent analytical ability, keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with Canadian or other international company accounting practices is a plus.
