Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Biology Expert with a Master's or PhD to join our client on a part-time, remote basis. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and solve complex biology problems to test the boundaries of large language models (LLMs). You'll collaborate with LLM researchers to ensure problem types align with model evaluation objectives and help improve model fine-tuning through precise analysis and English comprehension.

Key Responsibilities

Formulate and tackle challenging biology problems to identify weaknesses in large language models.
Create detailed, stepwise solutions grounded in rigorous and clear reasoning.
Partner with researchers to tailor problem types according to evaluation goals, focusing on areas where LLMs show difficulties.
Assist in establishing new evaluation benchmarks based on biology curricula ranging from early undergraduate classes through PhD-level material.
Simplify complex biological concepts into easily understandable explanations while maintaining workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related discipline.
Strong analytical thinking and research capabilities in biological sciences.
Skillful at providing thoughtful feedback and detailed annotations.
Innovative and lateral problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, especially for remote collaboration.
Self-directed and motivated to work independently in a remote setting.
