Biological Scientist – Microbiology

Position Overview

We are seeking a Microbiologist for a contract position offering remote work opportunities. The role involves analyzing microscopic organisms such as bacteria, fungi, and algae, with a focus on supporting AI model development and medical microbiology research.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret the growth, form, and behaviors of microorganisms including bacterial, fungal, and algal species.
• Support investigations into the links between microbes and diseases, contributing to medical microbiology projects.
• Evaluate how antibiotics and other substances influence microbial populations, aiding in refining AI accuracy.
• Maintain detailed documentation of experiments and procedures to facilitate use in AI training data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold scientific standards and ensure reliable data for AI development.
• Offer expert verbal and written insights on microbiological phenomena relevant to practical and computational research.
• Apply established rubrics and evaluation criteria to assess data quality within AI training processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• In-depth understanding of microbial systems including bacteria, fungi, and algae.
• Proven ability to study microbial anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Capability to clearly document scientific findings for integration with AI systems.
• Comfortable operating independently in a fully remote and digitally oriented environment.
