About the Role

You will design, implement, and adjust positive behaviour support plans aimed at fostering independence and dignity. Your work will involve close collaboration with individuals, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, person-centered care tailored to unique needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and implement behaviour support plans based on evidence and individual requirements.
• Partner with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
• Train and guide support staff for consistent execution of behaviour support approaches.
• Continuously evaluate and update plans to reflect progress and changing circumstances.
• Champion the rights of individuals ensuring respectful and understanding treatment.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates passion for positively impacting people’s lives.
• Holds qualifications in psychology, social work, or related disciplines.
• Experienced with positive behaviour support methods and frameworks.
• Possesses required documentation such as a self-assessment form for NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner or equivalent evidence of transferable skills.
• Compassionate, solution-oriented, and excels in teamwork environments.
• Experienced handling complex behavioural cases and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
