Barista

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Barista to craft exceptional beverages for Defence clients on a full-time basis, with a contract requiring 37.5 hours each week. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise to deliver superior service and expertly prepared coffees. Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: Full-time day shifts
• Saturday and Sunday: Not scheduled

This role is contracted for 49.2 weeks annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare skillfully crafted drinks and serve high-quality food that satisfies customers
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area
• Handle payment transactions, including cash and card processing
• Exemplify teamwork and communicate effectively
• Ensure sufficient stock of clean cups and plates
• Gain knowledge of brewing techniques, beverage blends, and food preparation/presentation methods
• Inspect and report maintenance issues of brewing equipment
• Represent the Defence brand positively
• Adhere to Food Handling and Hygiene guidelines
• Comply with Health and Safety standards

Candidate Profile

• Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly
• Previous experience in customer service roles
• Driven to achieve high standards in a proactive and enthusiastic way
• Capable of exercising good judgment for customer satisfaction
• Practical experience in using coffee brewing equipment
• Able to work effectively under pressure
• Exemplary punctuality and dependability
