Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Developer (Principal Engineer) to join our Sustaining Engineering Team. This role focuses exclusively on Core Java development within the Pega product ecosystem, excluding the use of external frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Develop, enhance, and support existing products with a focus on core Java functionality.
- Utilize strong debugging abilities including analyzing JVM crash logs, thread dumps, and heap dump log files to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Design high-level components applying design patterns and produce alternative solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborate effectively through clear communication with technical teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- Between 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Core Java programming.
- Strong command of data structures and algorithms to optimize performance.
- Proficiency in high-level software design and the application of design patterns.
- Expertise in multithreading and collections frameworks within Java.
- Experience working with any major relational database system such as MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated capability in debugging complex issues using JVM tools and logs.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud deployment is advantageous.
Additional Information
The position involves working directly on the Pega product with its proprietary technology stack alongside Core Java. This role does not require usage of frameworks like Spring or Hibernate.
Educational Eligibility
Candidates should have completed B.Tech or B.E. in any specialization.
