Avionics Technician

About the Role

STS Aviation Services is seeking skilled Avionics Technicians to join our Dubai team, focusing on aircraft electrical and avionics system maintenance. The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, installations, testing, troubleshooting, and modifications to aircraft electrical and avionics systems by strictly following authorized engineering documentation and procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, and installations per approved engineering documents, maintenance manuals, and wiring schematics.
• Handle the removal, installation, and replacement of avionics equipment and electrical parts in alignment with established procedures.
• Install, route, and secure aircraft wiring and electrical harnesses efficiently.
• Conduct wiring repairs, alterations, and upgrades meeting technical requirements.
• Perform wiring terminations including crimping, soldering, and connector fitting to ensure safe and reliable electrical connections.
• Manufacture, repair, and test wiring looms and electrical assemblies adhering to quality standards.
• Utilize approved test instruments to verify and troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems.
• Remove and reinstall aircraft panels and equipment as required during maintenance and modification operations.
• Maintain a clean, Foreign Object Debris (FOD)-free workplace before and after every task.
• Correctly label and return unused serviceable and unserviceable components to storage.
• Stay updated with Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and other relevant technical documentation.
• Follow all company policies, health and safety protocols, and airport regulations throughout work activities.

Experience and Qualifications

• Completed formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in aircraft maintenance.
• At least five years of hands-on experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
• Current exposure to commercial aircraft avionics systems and maintenance.
• Proven background in aircraft production or modification settings.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturers’ wiring diagrams and technical drawings accurately.
