Job Overview
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of attractions to guarantee smooth functioning, effective management, and excellent guest service. Key duties include procurement, inventory oversight, budgeting, scheduling, strategic planning, and ensuring operational compliance, safety, and financial health while managing a team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute operational strategies aligned with the Attractions department’s goals.
- Partner with the Attractions General Manager (GM) to evaluate future attraction needs and translate these into feasible action plans.
- Conduct market research to inform business planning, detect trends, and maximize revenue and guest engagement.
- Set long-term plans that align with organizational strategies and customer requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage procurement of goods and services ensuring timely, cost-efficient sourcing; oversee inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships for reliable supply chains.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and attend cross-functional meetings to represent the attractions' interests.
- Build and nurture external partnerships to support operational needs.
- Oversee budgeting, monitor spending relative to approved plans, and identify areas for financial optimization.
- Ensure efficient staff scheduling to optimize resource use while maintaining service quality.
- Lead risk management efforts and develop contingency plans to mitigate operational challenges.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff performance fostering a culture of continued development and inclusive work environment.
- Conduct regular team performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship.
- Handle day-to-day operations ensuring efficient execution and promptly address staffing or supply challenges.
- Monitor financial performance, prepare detailed reports, collaborate with finance for audit compliance.
- Drive innovation by identifying efficiency improvements and adopting industry best practices.
- Manage resources and staffing according to labor laws and organizational policies to maintain seamless operations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance guest experience by responding promptly to feedback and complaints, fostering loyalty and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include Operations Management or Project Management credentials.
- 10+ years of experience in operations management within entertainment or hospitality, with at least 5 years in leadership.
- Proven expertise managing large complex teams and operations focused on guest-facing services.
- Demonstrated success in operational optimization, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to work independently and perform manual tasks such as lifting weights up to 5kg.
