Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Associate specializing in wayfinding to join our Dubai team. This role focuses on crafting, executing, and sustaining comprehensive wayfinding systems that optimize navigation and user experience across facilities and projects. Collaboration with architects, designers, and project managers is essential to develop signage and spatial navigation strategies that balance both functional and aesthetic considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create wayfinding frameworks including signage designs, directional icons, and navigational assistance for various environments such as buildings and public spaces.
- Study user movement and behavior to detect navigation issues and propose practical wayfinding improvements.
- Work closely with architects, graphic designers, and facility teams to integrate wayfinding into broader design plans.
- Develop comprehensive wayfinding documentation, plans, and specifications using CAD and other design tools.
- Ensure all signage solutions are compliant with accessibility laws such as ADA and local standards.
- Manage the coordination with manufacturers and installation vendors to deliver signage elements.
- Perform site evaluations to assess current wayfinding efficacy and identify enhancement possibilities.
- Maintain detailed project records and a repository of wayfinding assets.
- Present wayfinding concepts and clearly communicate ideas to clients and stakeholders through visual and verbal methods.
- Assist project management with timelines, budgeting, and quality control for wayfinding projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years' professional experience in wayfinding development, signage design, environmental graphics, or related disciplines.
