About the Role and Company

BlackRock's Private Financing Solutions (PFS) division, incorporating HPS Investment Partners, represents a leading credit-focused alternative investment manager with a broad platform managing approximately $370 billion in client assets, including $205 billion in private credit. PFS partners provide diverse capital solutions across various debt and credit instruments. Team Overview

The Fund Accounting team at PFS is responsible for managing the funds' books and records. This includes oversight and reconciliation of financial data with internal departments such as Middle Office, Cash Management, and Asset Management/Valuation, plus coordination with third-party fund administrators. Duties also cover NAV calculation and verification, fee and expense management, capital call and distribution processes, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and support for fund setup and investor relations.

Position Summary

The Associate role on the Fund Accounting team in Dublin supports Private Credit Funds and offers growth prospects amid expanding product offerings and participation in global platform projects. The position entails review and reconciliation of fund books, NAV and capital statement assessments, fund setup, operations, and addressing ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly fund closings with administrators
  • Prepare and review partners’ capital statements
  • Calculate and vet capital calls and distribution notices
  • Verify fund expenses accurately, manage accruals and payments
  • Compute and validate monthly investor returns and NAV estimates
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual GAAP or IFRS financial statements
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with SEC, NFA, and other relevant bodies
  • Engage in ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • At least 5 years of combined fund accounting or public accounting experience supporting financial services clients, preferably in Private Credit, Public Credit, Private Equity or Hedge Funds
  • Experience at a Big Four accounting firm is preferred
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent is favored
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive and proactive approach to continuous learning
  • Self-driven and capable of thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented and effective at managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of internal control frameworks
  • Aptitude for handling large data volumes with high accuracy

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this Dublin-based position is €75,000 to €95,000 annually. In addition, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits including health care, leave provisions, retirement plans, educational reimbursements, well-being resources, family support programs, and Flexible Time Off policies.

Hybrid Working Model
