Role Summary
This opening is for an Associate on the New York M&A team, where you will help run buy-side and sell-side assignments across several sectors. The position offers direct exposure to complex transactions and the chance to contribute meaningfully to deal execution and client work. In partnership with senior bankers, you will be involved throughout the transaction process, from deal sourcing and valuation through negotiation and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the full M&A deal cycle, covering target identification, financial modelling, valuation work, due diligence, and execution support.
- Perform industry research, market sizing, and competitor analysis to surface opportunities and emerging trends.
- Develop polished pitch decks, information memoranda, and financial models for both internal review and client discussions.
- Interact with clients, management teams, and other market participants to help build relationships and support origination efforts.
- Contribute to firmwide strategic projects, research output, and the expansion of sector expertise.
Candidate Profile
The role suits someone with 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, transaction services, or a leading consulting firm. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capability is important, along with comfort working through large and complex datasets. The firm is also looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and able to perform well in a fast-moving environment. Strong communication and interpersonal ability are needed for working across stakeholders. A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related subject is expected.
