Role Description

The Assistant Operations Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Bedok. The individual will oversee the daily operations of workplace cafeterias and pantries, ensuring activities run efficiently. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, supervising service personnel, maintaining consistent food quality and hygiene standards, and overseeing inventory control. The manager will also evaluate vendor performance, assist with logistics such as deliveries and equipment handling, and help implement operational procedures. Monitoring key performance indicators and resolving operational challenges promptly are crucial components of the position. Additionally, the role involves supporting customer service efforts, collecting feedback, and collaborating with senior management to optimize operational effectiveness and enhance dining experiences in the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Proven abilities in operations and leadership, including staff supervision, workflow management, and basic project oversight.
  • Experience within food service or hospitality sectors, with sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and quality assurance.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a customer-oriented approach and aptitude for building positive relationships.
  • Competency in utilizing common office software and digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Bedok with flexibility to accommodate shift requirements according to operational demand.
  • Prior experience in operations or supervisory roles is preferred; familiarity with workplace dining or catering settings is advantageous.
  • Possession of a relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, business, or operations management is beneficial, or alternatively, equivalent practical experience.
