Role Purpose
The Assistant Manager - Security is charged with managing and executing security operations that align with the company's strategic security vision. This involves supporting risk assessments, implementing mitigation measures, conducting site patrols, managing access controls, and safeguarding assets to ensure a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and align daily security operations with organizational and site strategic objectives by providing operational insights to refine security strategy.
- Assist in enforcing the security operating model and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective execution of security processes.
- Engage in patrol duties and monitor premises using CCTV systems, documenting security activities and maintaining vigilance.
- Help oversee access control operations, ensuring strict adherence to procedures and timely reporting of any non-compliance issues.
- Manage visitor access protocols, including issuing and controlling visitor access cards to maintain secure entry and exit.
- Support monitoring of business traffic including vehicle and cargo authorization checks using technologies such as GPS and RFID tagging.
- Serve as a responsive team member during emergencies, following established contingency plans and managing unexpected incidents effectively.
- Stay updated with digital advancements and artificial intelligence tools to optimize security operations and maintain competitive edge.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as security officers, personnel, and regional teams, as well as external bodies including law enforcement agencies and security vendors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years’ professional experience in security operations encompassing access control, patrol activities, and emergency management.
