Assistant Commercial Manager - Data Centres

Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to support the commercial execution of hyperscale data centre projects globally. Based in Dubai, the role collaborates closely with commercial, procurement, engineering, and project delivery teams to oversee procurement, cost control, contract administration, and supplier performance across the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the commercial aspects of data centre construction projects from procurement phase through to completion.
• Contribute to the preparation, assessment, and negotiation of contracts, tenders, and agreements with suppliers.
• Oversee procurement activities to guarantee timely and budget-compliant delivery of materials and services.
• Track project expenditures, manage variations, valuations, and provide commercial reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, legal, and finance departments to mitigate commercial risks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to company governance protocols, contractual commitments, and industry standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Between 3 to 6 years of commercial or procurement experience in data centre, mission-critical, or large infrastructure sectors.
• Proficient understanding of procurement workflows, contract handling, and cost management.
• Prior experience interfacing with major contractors, consultants, or data centre developers is highly preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Applicants should already reside within the UAE.
