Position Summary
This full-time, on-site role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and reports to the Marketing Manager within the Commercial department. The Assistant Brand Manager for Food supports brand planning and execution, with a strong focus on coordinating product innovation projects, managing budgets, and delivering impactful consumer-facing brand activations.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee timelines for new product development and product portfolio architecture initiatives so launches stay on schedule.
- Serve as the main point of contact across R&D, Procurement, and Sales to move approvals and stage-gate steps forward.
- Manage the full artwork approval workflow and ensure all creative materials follow brand standards and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor and summarize monthly advertising and consumer promotion spending, keeping it aligned with the approved annual budget.
- Handle the complete purchase order cycle and support accurate vendor payments and accrual tracking.
- Coordinate packaging updates related to nutrition panels, ingredient statements, and required legal claims.
- Make sure existing stock-keeping units reflect current branding and that packaging assets are properly organized in the digital library.
- Partner with QA and R&D to confirm that packaging modifications comply with food safety requirements and local regulations.
- Lead brand event execution by preparing creative briefs and coordinating all on-site needs.
Experience and Education
The role calls for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or a closely related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in a comparable position. Prior exposure to the FMCG or Food & Beverage sector is preferred. A solid understanding of the marketing mix, product development, competitor analysis, and financial planning is important, as is practical knowledge of the 4Ps and the ability to manage A&C budgets and perform PPA analysis.
