Job Purpose
The Assistant Area Manager will aid in planning, developing, and implementing high-quality, person-centered rehabilitative and vocational training programs in their designated region. These programs are delivered through a combination of in-center sessions, in-company training with local industries, and blended learning approaches.
This role involves leading the design, delivery, commissioning, and assessment of learning initiatives to ensure alignment with workforce needs, quality benchmarks, and organizational goals. The postholder promotes continuous workforce capability improvements, learning effectiveness, and employee development via evidence-based practices and collaborative partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing management of training and development activities for all service users in line with agreed programs, including those funded by HSE and CETB, the Wellbeing Network (a collaborative project with HSE funded by Genio), and the Home Focus program—an innovative, recovery-centered initiative unique in Ireland.
- Assist in daily management and administrative duties relating to human resources, including communication, motivation, training, development, health and safety, and welfare of staff.
- Help oversee service user progress through recruitment, assessment, induction, and Individual Action Plan/Individual Programme Plan (IAP/IPP) processes, maintaining confidential and up-to-date records, and addressing any health, education, or welfare concerns in compliance with organizational policy.
- Contribute to implementing and managing all training programs and achieving targeted objectives, including advising on program revisions to meet Quality Standards and certification requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant professional qualification in Business, Administration, Education, or Social Sciences.
- Possession of a recognized QQI or HETAC qualification in Supervisory Management is beneficial.
- Experience in staff supervision or management is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Additional Information
This position is permanent with a 36-hour work week, located at Unit 10, 1st Floor, Dublin Road, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 TD0P. Salary starts at €56,745.73 and can increase by up to 10 increments reaching €73,799.67 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
