Role Overview
This position is ideal for someone currently engaged in an architectural practice with experience bridging architecture and interiors seeking a shift towards a predominantly interiors-focused role. It also suits candidates from interior fit-out or workplace design backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of commercial, workplace, hospitality, and retail projects from concept through to completion, including on-site reviews.
- Create innovative design concepts and presentation materials aligned with client ambitions.
- Develop detailed design documentation using Revit or ArchiCAD software.
- Oversee projects through all design stages, ensuring achievement of quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints.
- Serve as the main client liaison, organizing workshops, presentations, and ongoing stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to produce integrated design solutions.
- Maintain high standards in drawings, specifications, and documentation quality.
- Manage FF&E schedules, coordinate procurement processes, and nurture supplier relationships as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated prior experience within New Zealand interior design projects is essential.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Capable of independently handling projects from initiation to completion, maintaining client interactions.
- Experienced across various sectors including workplace, retail, and hospitality design.
- Proficiency in creating renders using Enscape software.
- A strong portfolio highlighting design innovation and documentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, supported by other studio teams for documentation tasks.
