The Role
We are seeking talented Android engineers to develop and enhance BJAK's native Android app experience. The role involves crafting seamless user flows, ensuring top performance, and delivering high-quality features that real customers rely on.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Android features utilizing Kotlin.
- Design intuitive mobile workflows related to insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to simplify complex user interactions.
- Integrate backend APIs, ensuring stability, security, and reliability in all mobile flows.
- Optimize app performance metrics including crash rates, loading times, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Leverage analytics, user behavior insights, and production feedback to continuously enhance the product.
- Implement AI-powered mobile functionalities only when they genuinely enhance the user experience.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years' experience developing Android applications with Kotlin.
- Solid foundation in Android fundamentals, with a track record of shipping production-grade apps.
- Proficient with Jetpack libraries, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architectural patterns.
- Strong understanding of mobile user experience, usability considerations, edge cases, and user journey complexities.
- Experience in REST API integration and troubleshooting issues in production environments.
- Quick execution, strong sense of ownership, and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Providing app links, GitHub repositories, screenshots, or examples of published work is advantageous.
