Analyst I, Healthcare Data

Position Overview

The Healthcare Data Analyst collaborates with project teams to provide accessible, actionable data that informs decisions and enhances patient outcomes. This role supports healthcare data aggregation for quality, patient, and financial metrics to meet departmental reporting requirements. Responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reports and analytical tools related to clinical and financial systems, alongside offering analytical and technical advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, designing, developing, and maintaining reports and analytics within clinical and financial hospital systems; partner with clinical and administrative staff to ensure reports are timely, precise, meaningful, and understandable.
• Collaborate with colleagues to produce detailed analyses reflecting the performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and departments.
• Generate reports using diverse internal and external data sources, such as benchmarking databases like PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries.
• Conduct standardized data validation procedures to guarantee data accuracy before dissemination.
• Aid in building new large-scale or smaller databases as needed, maintaining accurate data repositories to ensure information availability.
• Help define key data elements, establish data collection protocols, and ensure database integrity.
• Support maintaining and enhancing the production environment for tasks and applications.
• Work with team members to create effective visual data displays utilizing visualization tools.
• Facilitate data interpretation and provide evidence-based recommendations to the team.

Education and Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred experience: 1 to 2 years in a related field.
