Role Overview

We seek an AI Engineer to join our Data & AI unit to integrate AI-powered automation deeply into corporate finance. This role involves handling the complete technology stack, ranging from large language model (LLM) pipelines and autonomous agent workflows to backend systems and internal tools that ensure production readiness.

In this comprehensive and hands-on position, you will be responsible for managing challenges from prototypes through to production in a domain characterized by structured, high-stakes financial data where precision is critical. You will collaborate closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to develop impactful AI functionalities that influence how numerous companies control their finances.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceive and deliver AI-driven features end to end, including prompt engineering, model integration, backend API development, and user interface components.
• Construct and sustain AI infrastructure supporting LLM inference, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and extracting structured data from financial documents.
• Create autonomous agent workflows to automate finance tasks like expense categorization, receipt reconciliation, and enforcing policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure AI solutions are built on accurate, trustworthy, and well-structured financial datasets.
• Develop internal tools and evaluation frameworks to continuously assess and enhance model performance in live environments.
• Remain updated on cutting-edge AI advancements—such as fine-tuning, tool integration, and multi-agent orchestration—and incorporate them where they add tangible value to SiFi's technology stack.

Required Qualifications

• Solid foundation in backend systems, API development, and cloud infrastructure, with experience owning AI feature lifecycles from development to deployment.
• Practical experience deploying LLM-based solutions in production, including prompt creation, RAG pipelines, structured data extraction, or agent-based architectures.
• Capability to work with sensitive financial or compliance-related data with emphasis on accuracy and auditability.
• A bias for action, moving rapidly, making pragmatic trade-offs, and iterating based on user feedback.
• Strong ownership combined with humility: equally adept at troubleshooting edge cases and designing new system architectures.
