Agricultural Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Agricultural Engineer to join our team in Tayma, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have a strong practical background in managing date palm cultivation, vegetable farming, greenhouse operations, irrigation, crop nutrition, and pest control. This role demands overseeing daily agricultural activities, enhancing productivity, and applying modern sustainable farming methods to ensure top-quality crop yields.

Primary Duties

• Coordinate and manage agricultural operations involving date palms, vegetable crops, and greenhouse plants.
• Design and implement irrigation schedules, fertilization plans, and crop protection strategies.
• Regularly inspect crop health, diagnose pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Improve greenhouse systems to maximize both yield and crop quality.
• Conduct field audits and offer expert advice to boost farm performance.
• Supervise all stages of planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
• Analyze soil, water, and crop-related data to guide farming decisions.
• Ensure farming practices meet industry standards for quality and safety.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and maintain comprehensive agricultural records.
• Coach and support farm personnel on best agricultural methods and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a similar discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience relevant to agricultural operations.
• Demonstrated expertise with date palm cultivation, vegetable production, greenhouse management, and irrigation techniques.
• Sound understanding of fertigation technologies, crop nutrition principles, and integrated pest management.
• Capability to identify and solve crop-related problems efficiently.
• Strong skills in analysis, organization, and effective communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agricultural management software tools.
