Role Overview
The Adventure Park Specialist role involves daily interaction with guests and participants, providing guidance and instruction on safety equipment usage and supporting outdoor adventure activities such as climbing walls, rope courses, and zip lines. The position focuses on ensuring customer safety and delivering excellent service while working outdoors.
Primary Duties
- Ensuring secure fitting of harnesses for participants
- Conducting comprehensive safety briefings and instructions
- Maintaining constant supervision of guests on adventure courses
- Verifying safety devices are correctly attached
- Overseeing correct use of courses by clients
- Offering brief assistance as necessary
- Retrieving clients from the course using ladders and technical climbing gear
- Performing adventure park upkeep including painting safety cables, tightening platforms, and modifying activities
- Engaging in pruning and landscaping tasks
- Carrying out basic maintenance of equipment and gear
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as an Adventure Park Specialist
- Experience with rope courses or zip lines and comfort with heights
- Passion for adventure park activities
- Enjoys engaging and working with guests and team members
- Basic familiarity with rock climbing or ropes is advantageous but not mandatory
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
- Possession of a valid internationally recognized First Aid/CPR certification
