Job description
Position Overview
As the Administrator at our Ville Platte, LA location, you will serve as the point of contact for guests, families, and the broader community, delivering outstanding hospitality and administrative support. You’ll play a vital role in the smooth functioning of our funeral home, cemetery, and crematory operations, ensuring both client care and administrative precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter contract information into facility management systems and update related documentation
- Order memorial products and verify their accuracy before delivery
- Facilitate the annual renewal process for funeral home and cemetery licenses
- Scan, code, and process vendor invoices for timely payments
- Handle accounts payable tasks and support basic accounting operations
- Answer incoming calls, assist callers with queries, and forward calls to the correct personnel
- Organize and update client files and confidential information securely
- Maintain office supplies, coordinate upkeep of office equipment such as printers and fax machines
- Communicate empathetically and effectively with families, team members, and stakeholders, ensuring accurate and prompt responses
- Support office projects, prepare reports and presentations, schedule meetings, and draft correspondence
- Work both independently and collaboratively, keeping management informed of pertinent matters
- Display strong attention to detail when juggling multiple time-sensitive assignments
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- Minimum of two years administrative support experience
- Ability to use MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiently
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting is advantageous but not mandatory
