Role Overview

This full-time Accountant position is located in Koforidua and offers a hybrid working model with some remote work flexibility. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining meticulous ledger records, and performing reconciliations aligned with public sector financial standards. Key duties include budget management, expenditure monitoring, and facilitating financial reporting across various health programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payments and track revenue streams consistently.
• Support audit activities ensuring compliance with governmental financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with program managers by delivering financial analyses that guide decision-making.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial controls and accounting systems.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in financial accounting, budgeting, and account reconciliation ensuring accurate and timely financial documentation.
• Competency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications to generate reports and analyze data.
• Familiarity with public sector finance regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements, preferably in government or nonprofit sectors.
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on precision, deadlines, and regulatory adherence.
• Proficient communication skills capable of conveying financial information to non-finance staff.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hybrid setting, upholding integrity and professional ethics.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional accountancy certifications such as CA, ACCA, or CIMA are advantageous.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, especially within governmental, public health, or large-scale institutional environments, is highly desirable.
