Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Finance department. The role involves managing daily accounting activities, month-end and year-end financial closings, preparing financial reports, and supporting audit processes. The ideal candidate will possess a firm grasp of IFRS standards, robust reconciliation expertise, and thrive in a dynamic, multi-entity, and international work setting. The designation level will align with the candidate’s experience and skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end financial closing procedures compliant with IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Draft and record journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and necessary financial adjustments.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records ensuring completeness and proper documentation.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including bank, intercompany, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Investigate and rectify discrepancies and outstanding reconciliation items.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reporting packages.
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements and associated schedules.
• Liaise with internal teams and external auditors during interim and annual audit engagements.
• Support compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory financial reporting obligations.
• Ensure proper documentation for accounting activities consistent with internal controls and corporate policies.
• Drive enhancements in finance workflows, reporting procedures, and accounting practices.
• Manage accounting requirements for multiple entities and international transactions.
• For senior candidates: oversee specific entities or reporting segments and mentor junior accountants.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Holds 3 to 5 years of solid accounting experience.
• Demonstrates strong familiarity with IFRS and core accounting principles.
• Experienced in month-end closures, ledger management, and account reconciliations.
• Has supported statutory audits and prepared audit documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software usage.
• Exhibits excellent analytical thinking and problem-resolution abilities.
• Maintains high precision and thoroughness in financial tasks.
• Capable of handling multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently.
• Communicates effectively in written and spoken English.
• Works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across various functions and geographies.

Additional Advantages

• Working towards or holding recognized professional credentials such as CPA, CA, or ACCA.
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or comparable ERP solutions.
• Previous experience within multinational corporations or multi-entity environments.
• Background in financial services, fintech, digital assets, or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Knowledge of blockchain processes, cryptocurrency wallets, and digital asset accounting.
• Experience in Big Four firms or external audit roles.
• Understanding of UAE accounting, taxation, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is considered a plus.
