Role overview
As a 24/7 Operations Specialist with Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND), you will help keep critical customer systems and digital services available and stable at all times. The position is embedded in a shift rotation and focuses on surveillance, incident response, and reliable day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Track applications, infrastructure, and services live by using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Identify incidents quickly, investigate them, resolve first- and second-level issues where possible, or route them to specialist teams when needed.
- Help maintain service-level commitments and strong uptime for LHIND customers.
- Carry out operational routines such as job supervision, system health validation, and batch processing.
- Keep incident records up to date, maintain operational runbooks, and prepare clear handovers between shifts.
- Assist with changes and deployments together with DevOps counterparts.
- Support ongoing improvement work, automation efforts, and root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IT operations, a NOC, or a service desk setting.
- Working familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Prometheus.
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments like Azure or AWS, along with infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of ITIL practices and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Good problem-solving ability and comfort working in high-pressure situations.
- Readiness to work rotating 24/7 shifts.
- Ability to respond to incidents quickly and effectively.
- German language skills are an advantage.
- Strong focus on service uptime and SLA compliance.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including documentation.
- Proactive mindset for spotting issues and suggesting improvements.
Additional information
This role is based in Tirana, Albania, and follows a full-time, on-site working model. The job is structured around continuous operations and shift-based coverage to support customer-facing systems without interruption.
