Role Overview

The Yard Support role at our St. Marys location involves a variety of operational and customer service duties essential to branch efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing customer service activities, including overseeing propane cylinder filling operations.
• Inspecting and recertifying fuel tanks to ensure compliance and safety.
• Maintaining the facility through tasks such as grass cutting, yard sweeping, salting, and snow removal.
• Cleaning returned fuel tanks and removing pumps and fittings as needed.
• Supporting inventory management and display, including organizing stock placement.
• Conducting errands and local deliveries when necessary.
• Unloading and securely storing tanks, equipment, and other materials.
• Retrieving tanks and supplies and delivering them to the service area for preparation.
• Assisting the service department with inventory control and equipment readiness.
• Carrying out scheduled facility inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Performing any additional tasks assigned to support branch operations.

Candidate Profile

• Valid, clean, and current driver’s license is essential.
• Strong customer service aptitude with excellent communication skills.
• Organized, dependable, hardworking, and committed.
• Professional demeanor coupled with a positive attitude emphasizing personal accountability.
• Safety-conscious mindset with a willingness to engage in mandatory training around hazardous materials and TSSA certifications.
• Prior experience operating lift trucks, tractors, and similar equipment is preferred.
• Capability to handle physically demanding work tasks.
• Holding a DZ driver’s license is advantageous but not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of $23.00.
• Overtime compensation available beyond 44 hours each week.
