Wellness PR Account Coordinator

Position Overview

The Wellness PR Account Coordinator will contribute to the daily management and execution of communications initiatives within Studio Beauty's Wellness Division. This role focuses on wellness, fitness, beauty, and lifestyle brands, ideal for candidates deeply immersed in wellness culture—covering workouts, supplements, nutrition, longevity, recovery, and current consumer trends influencing the sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing public relations strategies for consumer wellness, fitness, beauty, and lifestyle brands.
• Keep track of health-related trends in wellness, fitness, nutrition, longevity, and consumer behavior to find relevant media opportunities.
• Support outreach and pitching efforts to various media outlets, including wellness, beauty, lifestyle, fitness, and business publications.
• Develop understanding and relationships with prominent wellness editors, freelancers, Substack writers, podcasters, and content creators.
• Create draft communications such as pitches, press releases, media alerts, award submissions, and briefing documents.
• Maintain and update targeted media contact lists using tools like Muck Rack and related research platforms.
• Coordinate logistics for product mailers, sample requests, gifting, and media communications follow-ups.
• Assist in organizing media events, editor engagements, influencer campaigns, and brand activations.
• Manage influencer and partnership efforts including outreach, coordination, and progress tracking.
• Track media coverage and prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports for clients.
• Maintain press office operations, manage product inventories, and oversee shipping arrangements.
• Provide daily support to the team’s interns to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Strong passion for and active engagement with the wellness industry, staying current on trends like supplements, nutrition, fitness, longevity, recovery, beauty, podcasts, newsletters, social creators, and influential brands.
• Between one to two years of experience in consumer, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle public relations, preferably within an agency setting.
• Knowledgeable about consumer wellness media including key editors, notable publications, newsletters, podcasts, and rising voices within the space.
• Existing media contacts are advantageous; however, eagerness to build relationships is equally valued.
• Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Able to manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic agency environment with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace, and presentation tools.
• Experience with media outreach platforms such as Muck Rack and influencer marketing software like CreatorIQ is beneficial.
