About Contak AV and Position Overview
Contak AV is currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead critical operations in the audiovisual production rental sector. The role is based onsite in Montreal, Quebec, at 110-4850 Rue Saint Ambroise, requiring physical presence during work hours.
Position Details
This full-time, permanent position demands a minimum commitment of 32 hours per week across four working days. Compensation ranges from $23 to $33 per hour, negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse logistics and inventory management for seasonal stock.
- Oversee warehouse staff and scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
- Work hands-on alongside technicians and project leaders to maintain operational standards, safety protocols, and quality control.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least two years of practical experience in warehouse, logistics, or technical environments with proven leadership or supervisory roles.
- Strong physical endurance, capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, moving heavy transport cases, and sustaining activity on feet throughout shifts.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on mechanical skills in equipment handling, load balancing, strapping, and organizational techniques.
- High attention to detail especially for tracking serialized equipment and precise preparation and unpacking processes.
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English to lead teams, coordinate with management, and liaise with suppliers effectively.
- Proficiency in computerized inventory systems, barcode scanners, and productivity tools such as Google Workspace.
- A strong dedication to adhering to workplace safety standards (CNESST) and safe transportation practices.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Experience in audiovisual production, stage lighting, event management, or equipment rentals.
- Familiarity with standard AV equipment including speakers, audio mixers, lighting gear, video displays, power distribution, and multi-pin cabling.
- Experience operating 16 to 20-foot cube trucks in urban areas.
- Certification in First Aid or formal CNESST safety training.
- Availability and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
