Utility Cleaner

Position Summary

Utility Cleaners play a crucial role supporting various hotel departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry by fulfilling the cleaning requirements. Tasks include preparing freshly laundered linens and perfectly clean dining ware for guests, managing and operating cleaning devices like dish washing machines and linen washers/dryers, and transporting linens or dishware throughout the hotel premises. This role demands adherence to safety standards, company policies, quality expectations, and maintaining professional appearance and communication.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple hotel departments with cleaning duties and logistical tasks.
• Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and tools efficiently.
• Prepare and transport clean linen and dishware to appropriate hotel areas.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following hotel policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and maintain uniform and personal grooming standards.
• Collaborate with team members and foster positive working relationships across departments.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Handle physical tasks involving moving objects up to 50 pounds and perform activities requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• No formal educational degree required (no high school diploma or GED necessary).
• No prior work or supervisory experience needed.
• No licenses or certifications mandatory.
