Joining our passionate team means being part of a culture dedicated to tackling difficult challenges collaboratively. Our Talent Acquisition team supports our rapid expansion as a global leader in AI-Powered Process Automation. University Recruiting is central to our talent strategy, helping us innovate, enrich our culture, and onboard the next generation of visionaries across engineering, product, and business domains.
This highly visible role entails leading all aspects of the early-career recruitment program while also contributing broadly to other talent acquisition efforts. Responsibilities include managing full-lifecycle campus hiring, building strong university partnerships, and during slower periods, shifting focus to corporate hiring, employer branding, and recruitment process improvement. Located in our London office, this role values in-person collaboration to foster teamwork and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruitment cycle for university internships and entry-level hires, including sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and securing top candidates.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with university departments, career services, faculty, and student groups to host impactful campus events and strengthen Appian’s employer reputation.
- Adapt to support corporate, technical, and specialized hiring needs during off-peak campus recruiting seasons by engaging in various talent initiatives such as interview training and candidate experience enhancements.
- Serve as a strategic partner advising hiring managers and senior leaders across departments, employing data-driven insights for recruiting strategies.
- Utilize innovative sourcing methods across multiple platforms to develop diverse talent pipelines aligned with organizational hiring goals.
- Continuously review and improve recruitment workflows, interview procedures, and candidate experiences using our Applicant Tracking System.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields.
- Over three years of successful full-lifecycle recruiting experience.
- Strong expertise in campus recruiting, university relations, talent sourcing, or technical recruiting.
- Proven track record of organizing and leading high-volume university recruiting events and cross-functional HR projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with familiarity using ATS platforms and tools like Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva.
- Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting and willingness to travel up to 20% for campus visits and company events.
- Preferred: Experience recruiting for software engineering or SaaS environments, knowledge of employer branding, CRM sourcing tools, and recruitment analytics.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is estimated between £25,000 and £100,000 GBP, dependent on experience, qualifications, market conditions, and internal equity. Additional discretionary bonuses may be awarded based on individual and company performance.
Appian offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability coverage, an Employee Assistance Program with mental health support, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, lifestyle allowances, tuition reimbursement, and family-forming benefits. Specific benefits vary by country; applicants should consult their Talent Acquisition specialist for details related to their location.
Training and Development
- New hires receive thorough onboarding training tailored to their department to prepare them for success.
- Continuous learning is emphasized through mentorship, leadership development programs, specialized training libraries, and tuition reimbursement options for educational advancement.
- Appian fosters a respectful and inclusive community, supported by eight employee-led affinity groups that organize social, educational, and outreach activities.
