About the Role

As a Travel Coordinator, you will join a dynamic Travel Team responsible for managing local travel operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and seamless travel experiences for company employees. This role demands proactive management of numerous hotel bookings, negotiating rates, supporting complex events, and providing weekend assistance to senior personnel. Acting as the primary liaison among hotels, AMEX GBT, and internal stakeholders, you will oversee urgent issues, operational audits, and booking approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle high-volume daily hotel reservations and antidotal rate negotiations.
  • Provide weekend travel assistance for senior team members.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between hotels, travel partners, and internal departments.
  • Audit thousands of monthly invoices for accuracy and financial compliance.
  • Analyze rate data to identify potential cost savings and optimize budgeting.
  • Generate performance reports for global teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead project initiatives such as hotel onboarding and accurate rate entry into booking systems.
  • Guide new hires on travel processes and coordinate with HR for program support.
  • Ensure strict adherence to travel policies and procedures across the firm.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum four years of relevant experience in corporate travel coordination, hospitality, vendor management, or administrative roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and internal platforms such as Box and Slack.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills across various formats including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain entrepreneurial initiative.
  • Capability to manage vendor relations and engage with diverse internal stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Aptitude to interpret complex operational or logistical data into concise, actionable insights.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Availability for in-person work as required by team schedules and office locations.
