Role Summary

The Transportation Manager will be responsible for managing first-mile transport activities across Europe. This role involves planning, overseeing, and consistently enhancing daily transport workflows together with carrier partners to guarantee timely and quality deliveries, which are central to our service promise. The successful candidate will independently manage a portfolio of carriers in an agile setting while learning from seasoned experts in logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery by planning, controlling, and monitoring daily transport deployments and managing KPIs related to delivery quality such as punctuality and equipment availability.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams, carriers, and external stakeholders concerning volume, capacity, and delivery scheduling.
• Quickly procure additional transport capacity during volume surges by negotiating effectively to maintain ongoing shipments.
• Maintain accuracy and currency of transport management system data to support team reliability.
• Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in first-mile transportation processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one year of experience in freight forwarding or transport operations within a logistics setting.
• Proficiency in German at B2 level or higher and business fluent English skills.
• A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership, capable of identifying issues early and resolving them independently.
• Experience in e-commerce logistics operations is a plus.
