Trainer & Content Developer

About the Role

As a Trainer and Content Developer at Verantum, you will be responsible for creating, delivering, and maintaining comprehensive training programs that support employee onboarding, role preparedness, product knowledge, system adoption, and continual professional growth. Collaborating closely with department heads, subject matter experts, Product Management, Marketing, and HR, you will translate evolving business strategies, product updates, and process changes into clear, engaging training materials that foster skill development and operational readiness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structured training programs to support new hires, role proficiency, system use, process alignment, and ongoing skill enhancement for technical and non-technical teams.
• Produce engaging training content in diverse formats such as live and virtual sessions, self-paced courses, job aids, SOPs, and LMS-based resources.
• Lead instructor-led workshops, webinars, and hands-on learning experiences that encourage learner engagement and practical application.
• Work with leadership and HR to identify training requirements, skill gaps, quality trends, and process modifications needing targeted educational solutions.
• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Implementation teams, and SMEs to prepare the organization for new product functionality, services, and releases through tailored training and internal enablement resources.
• Continuously update training documents, job aids, SOPs, release materials, and LMS content ensuring accuracy, version control, and alignment with current processes and business objectives.
• Stay informed on innovative technologies, instructional design trends, and industry best practices to elevate training effectiveness.
• Analyze learner feedback, training outcomes, quality issues, and operational challenges to recommend content and delivery improvements.
• Assess training impact through feedback, knowledge evaluations, completion metrics, performance observations, and stakeholder input to optimize future sessions.
• Deliver all training sessions professionally, inclusively, and interactively to promote retention and application of knowledge and skills.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated expertise designing and delivering diverse, engaging training content tailored to multiple learning styles.
• Strong instructional design capabilities utilizing software such as PowerPoint, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or related platforms.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences.
• Experienced facilitator of both virtual and in-person training formats conducted confidently and professionally.
• Competent in assessing learner progress, offering constructive feedback, and supporting development planning.
• Collaborative approach working with cross-functional teams and leadership to align training with strategic goals.
• Data-driven mindset using feedback and metrics to evaluate and refine training programs continuously.
• Comfortable providing constructive feedback across all employee levels to nurture a learning culture.
• Strong organizational skills enabling management of multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Flexible participation in cross-functional projects, including product launches, service rollouts, internal communication efforts, and ad-hoc training initiatives.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Training and Development, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Three to five years of experience in corporate training, instructional design, technical enablement, or content creation within technology-driven or software/SaaS environments.
• Preferred familiarity with LMS platforms, Microsoft 365 suite, PowerPoint, screen recording tools, knowledge bases, and collaboration tools such as Confluence.
• This is a mid-level role suited to independent work with occasional guidance; not entry-level or senior expert position.

Physical and Additional Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods working at a computer.
• Occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds.
• Possession or ability to obtain a valid passport and readiness to travel as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary of $80,000 with excellent benefits included.
