Traffic Clerk

Overview

As a Traffic Clerk at Lineage in Delta, British Columbia, you will be responsible for organizing and sustaining detailed records of shipments moving in and out. You will oversee driver assignments, including managing check-ins, door allocations, and check-outs following completed loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the initial contact for delivery drivers arriving onsite.
• Handle receipt, counting, and logging of cash payments made by carriers as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurately and promptly prepared.
• Confirm product counts and verify product data accuracy within the system.
• Keep carriers and essential team members informed about pending arrivals, no-shows, and unscheduled visits.
• Communicate with drivers to reschedule appointments when required.
• Input data into the warehouse management system (WMS) scheduler efficiently.

Additional Tasks

Perform other duties required to support daily operational flow.

Requirements

• Basic math competence is necessary at some facility locations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, to interact effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
• Competent computer proficiency, including skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to work in environments with temperatures ranging from -25°C in cold storage to 37°C in dry storage, with necessary personal protective equipment and freezer gear provided.
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 9 kg (20 lbs), with the weight requirements possibly varying by facility.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends when needed.
• Comfortable working in various noise levels, including potentially loud settings.

Compensation Range

The pay scale for this role ranges from $20.10 to $31.39 per hour.
