Role Summary

This on-site Technician position, based at a Novotel property in Singapore, is key to maintaining the hotel's diverse facilities. The technician's responsibilities revolve around daily upkeep and repair tasks throughout guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house zones, and equipment. Tasks include routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing challenges, addressing maintenance requests promptly, and liaising with external contractors when necessary. The technician also oversees building system monitoring, ensures conformity with safety regulations, keeps accurate maintenance logs, and supports hotel operations to minimize guest disturbance.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in facility or hotel maintenance, accompanied by knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance methods.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, work orders, and schematic diagrams; adept at using relevant tools safely and effectively.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to professionally engage with guests and collaborate with hotel staff.
• Meticulous attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and organizational abilities for handling multiple maintenance requests efficiently.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, aligned with hotel operational needs.
• Preferred educational background includes technical certifications or diplomas in engineering, building services, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience in hospitality or commercial property maintenance within Singapore is advantageous.
