Our Project Management Office (PMO) consists of skilled project managers, consultants, and architects specializing in innovative, data-driven technology solutions that span domains such as full-stack development, hyperautomation, cloud data analytics, and generative AI leveraging large language models.
Role Overview
This mid-senior level Technical Project Manager role requires presence onsite Monday through Thursday in either Troy or Waterford. The position serves as a critical liaison between consulting and project management functions, acting as the main client contact throughout the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to comprehend their business challenges and define clear, actionable technical requirements.
- Create comprehensive project plans outlining schedules, milestones, and resource deployment using Monday.com.
- Lead diverse teams including engineers and developers to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.
- Uphold project processes aligned with Lean UX, Getting Things Done (GTD) methodologies, and the C4 architectural model.
- Regularly communicate progress and risks to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations ensuring satisfaction with delivered services.
- Drive continuous enhancement of project workflows and methodologies.
- Perform enterprise data modeling, defining entities, attributes, and relationships to meet business and reporting needs.
Candidate Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in technical project management, engineering management, or product ownership with a history of successful project completions.
- Profound knowledge of software development frameworks such as Agile and Lean UX.
- Expertise with cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure (preferred) and familiarity with AWS (advantageous).
- Additional exposure to data warehousing, hyperautomation, and AI/ML technologies is a bonus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within remote teams.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a STEM discipline.
- Familiarity with the C4 architectural model and systems thinking approaches.
- Strong skills in system analysis, data modeling, and ER diagram creation.
- Desirable domain knowledge in wealth management, financial services, revenue cycle management, electronic health records, and practice management systems.
