Role Overview

This opportunity offers direct ownership and involvement from the outset, high standards, and collaborative work with a team experienced in scaling regulated financial enterprises from the ground up. The focus is on building the next generation of card products including Apple Pay, Google Pay, virtual, and single-use virtual cards, managing the full product lifecycle across banking issuers, acquirers, and payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new card functionalities such as integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay, card tokenization, and virtual card offerings.
• Engage deeply with card issuing, processing, e-commerce payments, and security protocols like 3-D Secure to ensure seamless operation across issuers and acquirers.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery processes coordinating engineering, quality assurance, internal stakeholders, and external payment partners.
• Design innovative card features that foster product expansion and optimize operations.
• Create and enhance APIs and integration systems both from the ground up and by refining existing services.
• Document technical specifications clearly and thoroughly to assist developer teams.
• Manage integrations with in-house teams and third-party payment providers.
• Define tasks within project management tools like Jira and Confluence, and lead product release cycles.
• Continuously monitor product performance post-launch and swiftly address any incidents.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience in roles such as Technical Product Manager or Systems Analyst, preferably within fintech or banking sectors.
• Practical knowledge of payment services and a comprehensive understanding of the relationships between issuers, acquirers, and payment infrastructures.
• Expertise in microservices architecture and system design principles.
• Proven experience designing APIs and system integrations from inception.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot production-level incidents.
