Innoxsea is a Singapore-based startup focused on creating an AI-driven enterprise intelligence platform tailored for life sciences and international innovation.
Role Overview
We seek a committed full-time Technical Co-Founder / CTO / Director to lead the technical development from the ground up. This equity-oriented leadership role demands hands-on ownership of technical architecture, core products, and the engineering team at an early growth stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and refine the technical architecture and product development plan.
- Develop critical backend services, data management, and AI functionalities.
- Create robust data pipelines and hybrid retrieval systems with focus on knowledge-intensive workflows.
- Implement production-ready AI agent features prioritizing traceability, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Set and enforce engineering practices around testing, deployment, security, and observability.
- Translate complex industry workflows into actionable product capabilities.
- Recruit, manage, and grow the initial engineering workforce as the company expands.
- Collaborate closely with the founder on broad product strategies, partnerships, and overall company development.
- Assist in fundraising and investor relations efforts.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive practical experience in backend or full-stack development, data platform engineering, business intelligence, or applied artificial intelligence.
- Proven expertise building systems involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, search technologies, knowledge bases, or intricate data processing workflows.
- Strong grasp of database design, API frameworks, data pipelines, cloud hosting, and ensuring system reliability.
- Demonstrated success in early-stage product creation beyond maintenance of existing systems.
- Capability to make solid architectural choices, produce high-quality core code, and scale a small engineering team methodically.
- Fluent English communication skills suitable for working across global markets.
- Complete dedication to joining a nascent venture full-time.
- Exceptional recent PhD graduates with significant AI systems or product development experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Background in life sciences or healthcare industries.
- Familiarity with knowledge graph technologies, entity resolution, or ontology management.
- Experience delivering B2B SaaS or multi-tenant enterprise software products.
- Contribution to open-source projects or independently developed technical products.
- Prior roles as a technical founder, founding engineer, or senior principal engineer.
Location
Applicants worldwide are welcomed, expecting significant alignment with Singapore time zones and availability for occasional Singapore visits. Relocation discussions possible where relevant.
